H1B Chains helps readers inspect public immigration sources and discuss their wording. Community interpretations and editorial summaries are not individualized legal advice.

Your identity

Your chosen username appears publicly with your contributions. Your email is used for sign-in and account recovery and is never included in public profiles. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes; sessions expire after 30 days. We use a first-party session cookie, and local storage only for your display theme.

Your contributions

Explanations, questions, replies, and source citations are public. Do not share passport numbers, receipt numbers, addresses, case documents, or other personal information. Private notes are accessible only through your authenticated account. Authorized operators maintain the database and may need access to investigate service problems; notes are not end-to-end encrypted.

Source integrity

Public government originals are stored by a SHA-256 fingerprint and retained as separate editions. We link to third-party reporting rather than republish complete articles. A source gap means evidence was not retrieved for our collection; it does not prove no document exists.

Moderation

Be respectful, explain uncertainty, and cite evidence. Harassment, scams, appointment selling, requests for credentials, and exposure of personal information may be withheld or removed. Report a contribution to request editorial review. Only actual authorized editors receive moderation permissions.

Control and deletion

You can delete your contributions and private notes. Deleting an account removes sign-in information, sessions, bookmarks, votes, and notes, and deletes the text of your public contributions. Minimal source provenance and moderation records may remain without your account identifier. Encrypted operational backups may retain prior records until the backup retention period expires.

Service providers

The application uses PostgreSQL for storage and an email delivery provider when configured. Public source retrieval contacts the linked publishers. Public source pages open separately and follow their own privacy policies.

Advertising and cookies

AdSense advertising is not currently enabled. We do not load advertising scripts while it is disabled. If advertising is enabled, this page will describe it and the relevant privacy choices will be available before ad serving begins.
